Service & Support
For historical reasons, our repair department was situated in Glasgow for many years but in 2016, it was relocated to our head office in Halesworth, Suffolk.
During the relocation process, we had to restrict our repairs to Viking and RSPB brands only but we are pleased to say that the department is fully up and running in Halesworth and we can now service and repair almost any brand of binocular & telescope again with the exception of Steiner equipment which we believe, can only be repaired at their factory in Germany.
We are now the official UK repairers for Kowa.
We stock a range of spare parts for many brands and in particular, Carl Zeiss Jena binoculars as we acquired the entire parts stock from the UK distributor before it closed.
Unfortunately we are unable to carry out work to Leica Trinovid BA /BN binoculars that have ribbed rubber body armour. We can carry out work to older Leica Trinovid / Leitz binoculars.
Please phone / email (repairs@vikingoptical.co.uk) us before sending a Leica product to confirm if it is a model that we are able to work on.
We are also able to service and repair ex-military and WD equipment subject to parts being available. Ross London, Barr & Stroud (not the range currently on the UK market), REL and Bausch & Lomb are just some of the names on the equipment we have refurbished in the past.

If you feel that your binocular or telescope is not quite as it should be (image not very clear or alignment in the case of a binocular) and would like us to check it over, then please fill in our REPAIR FORM, pack it carefully and send to:

On receipt, we will examine it and send you an estimate for what needs to be done. Please ensure you have completed and enclosed the REPAIR FORM so we can contact your regarding your product.
