Warranty claims:
Your optics will give many years of satisfactory service if treated with care. Try to protect it from dust and extremes of temperature and moisture.
Any faults due to material or manufacturing defects will be rectified or parts replaced without charge for the specified warranty period (stated on the warranty card) from date of purchase. Warranty repairs can only be considered when proof of purchase and warranty card are present.
The Repair Centre:
The Viking Optical Repair Centre is the approved repair centre for Viking, RSPB, and Hilkinson branded binoculars and scopes. We have also been appointed the UK Kowa repair partner; the official UK repair and service centre for KOWA binoculars and spotting scopes.
We can also carry out repairs to a wide range of other brands of binocular and spotting scopes, the nature of the work possible is often determined by the availability of replacement parts. We are not able to carry out repairs to certain modern branded items in the Leica, Swarovski, Zeiss or Nikon ranges. However, we can complete repairs on some of the older models.
Please note we are unable to complete repairs on Steiner equipment, and also Leica Trinovid BA/BN binoculars that have the ribbed body armour.
Prior to sending any other brand of binocular or scope to our repair department, please send an email containing photographs and a brief description of the issue to repairs@vikingoptical.co.uk to clarify if we are able to complete repairs to this model.
If you feel that your binocular or telescope is not performing as it should, and it requires a service, please complete the REPAIR FORM, (enclose any necessary warranty documents if relevant), pack the items safely and securely in a well packed box, and send to:
